New Coffee Molecules Manage Blood Sugar Better Than Common Drug
Scientists found that new coffee ingredients called caffaldehydes are great at controlling blood sugar. Normally, our bodies use enzymes to turn food into sugar, which can be a problem for people with diabetes. In lab tests, these coffee compounds were actually stronger at stopping sugar spikes than acarbose, a common pharmacy medicine. This means that in the future, coffee could be used to create natural health products that help manage diabetes more easily.
