Kashmir’s soil was being damaged by chemicals, leading to poor yields. Abdul Ahad Lone solved this by starting Ahad Agro Farms, turning waste and cow dung into organic vermicompost. His "bed method" helps worms survive winters, ensuring steady production. This has boosted yields and earns him ₹1.5 crore annually. He has also trained 150 women and 25 youth to start their own businesses, turning waste into profit while restoring the region's soil health.
