Home-grown defence electronics keep India's armed forces equipped without leaning on imports. Bharat Electronics has won ₹648 crore of fresh orders for laser-based infrared jammers, communication gear, thermal imagers, cybersecurity and AI systems. Building these in India strengthens national security, supports skilled engineering jobs and saves foreign exchange that would otherwise go abroad. BEL is a state-run PSU with a large defence order book.
