The computing that AI runs on has mostly sat abroad. HyperVault, a TCS subsidiary, has secured 264 acres near Hyderabad for an AI data centre campus of up to 1 GW, to be built in phases, with up to ₹70,000 crore of investment planned by it and its partners. It is designed around green power and water-neutral operation, and the company expects several thousand direct and indirect jobs. Nothing is built yet — the land is the first step.
