Safer, better-connected train journeys through the Kashmir valley: IRCON has won a ₹96.25 crore, five-year contract from Konkan Railway to maintain the tunnel communication system on the Katra–Banihal line. It keeps CCTV, public-address, emergency calling and network links working inside the tunnels and at stations, which is vital for passenger safety on this strategic route. The steady five-year income also adds to IRCON's order book for investors.
