From Dust to Green: Ajit Singh’s Incredible Shekhawati Revival
Rajasthan’s Shekhawati region faced a severe problem of depleting groundwater and barren land, threatening the water supply for millions. Software engineer Ajit Singh found a solution by walking barefoot for years to plant over 80,000 trees and creating ten "oxygen parks." He also dug ponds to harvest rainwater and recharge the earth. The benefit to people is a restored ecosystem where the water table is rising, biodiversity is returning, and once-barren lands now provide clean air and medicinal plants for the community.
