Dengue strikes millions of Indian families every monsoon, and until now there was no vaccine to prevent it here. Dr Reddy's has signed an exclusive deal with Japan's Takeda to distribute Qdenga, India's first approved dengue vaccine, across the private market for children and adults. Wider access to a proven vaccine means fewer hospitalisations and lower medical bills for ordinary families. Pricing and rollout details are still to come.
