Passengers get better-maintained, more reliable Vande Bharat sleeper trains for decades to come. State-owned BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems have formed a 50:50 joint venture to service these premium trainsets for 35 years. Keeping the upkeep in-house means safer, more comfortable overnight journeys, holds the maintenance work and skilled jobs within India, and builds home-grown railway capability instead of depending on outside contractors.
