An Indian company winning its biggest-ever global order shows India's engineering firms can compete worldwide. Welspun Corp's US arm has bagged an order for high-frequency induction welded (HFIW) pipes worth about ₹4,000 crore ($412.5 million), lifting its global order book to a record ₹45,000 crore. It strengthens a company held by many Indian investors and gives clear revenue for two years, though these pipes will be made at its US mill.
