Village Heroes Make the Wild Sundarbans Safe for Everyone
People in the Sundarbans live in fear of tiger attacks and snake bites. To stay safe, they often killed animals, while many died searching for honey in dangerous forests. A team of local heroes called "Friends of Nature" was trained. They now rescue snakes safely and use beehives near their homes so they don’t have to enter tiger territory for honey. Both people and wildlife are safer. Families earn money securely, and women have become brave leaders.
