In farming communities, threshing machines release thick, toxic dust that causes severe respiratory illness and disrupts daily life. To solve this, 17-year-old Pooja Pal from Uttar Pradesh invented a chaff–dust separation machine that uses a water-based mechanism to trap particles before they escape. This low-cost solution benefits rural workers by providing cleaner air and protecting their long-term health. Her invention won national awards and is now being patented for global use.
