The problem is that many people believe dogs can "sniff out" a bad person's character, but we didn't have scientific proof. The solution was a study where dogs watched one person be kind and another be selfish; surprisingly, the dogs didn't care and treated both people the same. The benefit to people is the happy realization that our dogs love us for who we are. They don't spend their time judging our social mistakes, offering us a bond of true, unconditional friendship.
