In the Sundarbans, farmers struggled because river water was too salty and wells were drying up. To fix this, 1,950 farmers dug 319 small ponds to catch and save fresh rainwater. This plan saved over 136 million litres of water. Now, families have plenty of water for their crops and daily needs. They also earn more money by raising fish and growing fruit trees around the ponds, making their lives much more secure.
