More of India's solar panels can now be built at home instead of imported. Premier Energies has commissioned the country's largest solar cell factory, a 7 GW plant at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, built for about Rs 3,293 crore, taking its capacity to 10.6 GW. That means steadier local supply, new manufacturing jobs, and less money leaving the country for foreign cells, supporting India's push for cheaper, self-reliant clean power.
