Cleaner, more reliable electricity nationwide: Power Grid has won a new high-voltage substation and lines at Alephata in Maharashtra, with yearly transmission charges of ₹430.67 crore, through competitive bidding. The link will help evacuate about 14 GW of solar and wind power from Gujarat's renewable zones and carry it to where people need it, cutting wastage and supporting steadier supply as India adds clean energy. It also builds Power Grid's long-term, regulated earnings base.
