Electric scooter parts made in Indian factories rather than imported, which means local manufacturing jobs and a supply chain that keeps money and know-how in the country. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has sanctioned ₹95.81 crore to Ola Electric under the PLI scheme for automobiles and auto components, the FY27 demand incentive, to be paid out through IFCI as the nodal agency. This is the third consecutive year the company has qualified, after ₹366.78 crore for FY25 and ₹73.74 crore for FY24, taking the total sanctioned to roughly ₹536 crore.
