For 33 years, Debanand Mahaling has fought dangerous forest fires in Odisha to protect nature. Frequent wildfires destroy wildlife and local livelihoods, creating a major environmental threat. To solve this, Mahaling organized a team of village volunteers who use traditional tools and modern blowers to extinguish flames.
