Cleaner car factories mean less pollution in the air people breathe. Maruti Suzuki has commissioned its first green hydrogen pilot plant at Manesar, making hydrogen from surplus solar power and blending it into factory fuel. The company aims to cut manufacturing emissions from about 615,000 tonnes now to 266,000 tonnes by FY31, roughly 57% lower. It is a small pilot, but it builds local green-energy know-how that can scale.
