The Central Integrated Pest Management Center (CIPMC) in Shillong recently held a "Khet Bachao Abhiyan" to promote sustainable farming practices. Farmers often face significant crop loss due to pests and may use harmful, excessive chemicals that damage soil health and the quality of their food. To address this, the program trained farmers on safe, eco-friendly pest management techniques and the proper, balanced use of pesticides. This initiative helps farmers grow healthier crops, reduce their input costs, and protect their land for the future.
