More rail capacity on India's busy east coast is on the way: GPT Infraprojects has won a ₹483.72 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam to build a steel girder bridge across the Mahanadi river for East Coast Railway's third and fourth lines. Extra tracks mean smoother, faster passenger and freight movement, and the roughly three-year build brings jobs and work for local suppliers. Investors gain a sizeable, multi-year addition to the order book.
