Deep borewells in India are a death trap for children because their narrow, dark shafts make rescue almost impossible. To solve this, Sadham Usean Ramasamy from IIT-Madras invented a patented Inflatable Rescue Device. This machine uses a camera to find the child, provides oxygen, and uses a balloon-like holder to safely grip and lift them out. The device offers a fast, low-cost way for rescue teams to save lives and prevent future tragedies.
