Bapusaheb Gaikwad grew up in poverty, delivering tiffins to support his family while his parents worked manual jobs. The problem was a life of hardship that seemed inescapable. His solution was education; he quit a stable job at L&T and declined a CRPF post to focus on his UPSC dream. The benefit was achieving AIR 561, which broke his family's cycle of poverty and now inspires millions of young people to pursue their goals despite their circumstances.
