Sandeep Subramani is reviving Nilgiri tea, once dismissed as a low-quality filler, by shifting from chemical-heavy mass production to premium, handcrafted teas at his family estate, Tranquilitea. He has also developed the estate into a tea tourism destination and planted native Shola trees to conserve water and wildlife.
